M.A.S.K. was an animated TV series that ran for two seasons between 1985 and  1986. The show went on to spawn M.A.S.K. toys, which ran for four years, as well as video games and comics. The four waves of toys were released between 1985 and 1988 . A live-action movie was never released at the time, however in 2018, more than 30 years on, Paramount have said a movie was in the works and would be directed by F Gary Gray.
As with most toy-lines in the 1980’s the toys were split between two fractions, the good guys M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand) and the bad guys V.E.N.O.M. (Viscous Evil Network of Mayhem).
